Orthopedic Screws

Contract manufacturing and custom design solutions

In the field of medical precision micromechanics, the production of orthopedic screws requires absolute quality standards and micron-level tolerances. Oros positions itself as a strategic partner for OEM companies, offering contract mechanical machining services specialized in internal fixation and osteosynthesis devices.

Thanks to a quality management system compliant with ISO 13485, we ensure maximum reliability in the manufacture of critical components for orthopedic surgery.

Types of orthopedic screws manufactured

We support our customers in the production of a wide range of devices for orthopedic surgery:

  • Cannulated Screws: High-precision machining of central canals for guidewire insertion, ensuring part coaxiality..

  • Cortical and Cancellous Screws: Thread profiles optimized for anchoring in compact or trabecular bone.

  • Compression Screws: Components designed to generate compression between bone fragments, promoting healing.

  • Customized Solutions: Production of screws based on the customer’s technical drawing, handling both prototyping and serial production.

Thanks to a quality management system compliant with ISO 13485, we ensure maximum reliability in the manufacture of critical components for orthopedic surgery.

Biocompatible materials and certified metals

Material selection is essential to ensure the biocompatibility and mechanical strength of implant devices. Our machinery is optimized for processing high-performance metals:

  • Titanium: We manufacture components in Grade 2, Grade 4, and Grade 5 titanium (Ti6Al4V), ideal for its excellent combination of lightness and strength.

  • Stainless Steels: We machine medical-grade steels such as AISI 316L (EN1.4404), AISI 420 (EN1.4034), and AISI 630 (EN1.4542) for applications requiring high hardness and corrosion resistance.

  • Special Alloys: Our expertise also covers complex materials such as MP35N, molybdenum, and Inconel.

Production technology and high-precision micromechanics

To meet the complex geometries of orthopedic screws—such as variable-pitch threads or low-profile heads—Oros operates a state-of-the-art production department with 23 CNC machines for precision mechanical machining.
