Precision micromechanics for high-end brands
In the fashion accessories, watchmaking, luxury writing instruments, and eyewear sectors, a product’s perceived value hinges on details measured in a few hundredths of a millimeter: the smoothness of a hinge, the tightness of a thread, and the uniformity of a surface intended for electroplating. Oros manufactures these micro-components on a contract basis, enabling that level of finish, and works closely with the brands’ technical and product departments from pre-production through to continuous production.
Since 1999, we have operated exclusively on a contract basis in the field of contract machining, producing luxury components under an ISO 9001 – certified quality management system. The same rigorous processes we apply to the production of medical devices — where we operate under ISO 13485 — also govern our luxury projects: controlled tolerances, batch repeatability, and process traceability.
Components for the luxury sector
We manufacture small parts and micro-components based on customer designs for the following industries:
- Jewelry and fashion accessories — structural elements, clasps, pins, bushings, and connecting components for high-end items, produced in small batches with a wide variety of designs.
- Watchmaking — pins, links, microcomponents for shafts and axles, microscrews, barrels, winding crowns
- Collectible pens and writing instruments — pen bodies, barrels, caps, rings, filling mechanisms, and components made of engineering plastics, with surfaces ready for polishing, engraving, or decorative finishing.
- Eyewear — small parts for frames, hinges, temples, end pieces, nose pads, specialized fasteners, and hinge components, where mechanical functionality—repeated thousands of times—must coexist with flawless aesthetics.
In all cases, we work according to the customer’s technical specifications, providing comprehensive management of the entire process from pre-production to continuous production.
Processed materials
Our machines are designed for turning and milling metal and plastic bars:
- Titanium — our expertise in titanium processing, gained in the medical field, is directly applied to high-end eyewear, where lightness, hypoallergenicity, and durability are key selling points of the finished product.
- Stainless steel — used where mechanical strength, dimensional stability, and corrosion resistance are required, particularly for components that come into prolonged contact with the skin.
- Brass — the material of choice for decorative small parts and components intended for electroplating, due to its workability and the quality of the surface finish that can be achieved.
- Technopolymers — high-performance plastic components, machined on the same machines and using the same quality control standards as those applied to metals.
Manufacturing Technologies and Quality Control
The production department consists of 23 CNC machines installed in the 3,200-square-meter facility that opened in 2024:

Dimensional inspection is performed using specialized equipment: the Kestrel vision system from Vision Engineering, and VICI Vision MTL X5, MTL X360, and Metrios measuring machines. Each order is planned and tracked in the system to ensure that the second batch is identical to the first.
Surface finish: from the machined part to the finished component according to specifications
In the luxury sector, a component is not considered finished when it comes off the machine. That is why Oros handles the tumbling process in-house, using state-of-the-art OTEC and Rösler equipment, as well as the washing process, using an IFP 50 system that is validated annually by an external laboratory.
Surface treatments — heat treatment, electropolishing, electroplating, sandblasting, and laser finishing — are carried out by qualified partners, with Oros coordinating the entire process: the customer has a single point of contact, a single set of specifications, and a single party responsible for the final result. This model reduces the number of handoffs and, with them, the points where quality can be compromised.
Confidentiality regarding client projects
We work on collections that have not yet been unveiled, on restyling existing catalog products, and on new developments that provide a competitive advantage for our clients. All projects are handled under NDAs: we do not disclose client names, we do not display components that can be traced back to identifiable brands, and we do not use the projects we develop as promotional material.
